Uber & ‘Black Cab’ Drivers Brawl In Street After Disgusting third world Uber Driver Spits At Him

The video posted to Youtube shows two men brawling in the street, filmed from another cab on 17th June on Midland Road NW1.

The onlookers in the cab can be overheard saying that the fight is between an Uber driver and a Black cab driver. The un-regulated Uber App have confirmed that the driver works for them.

Tensions are running high between the two trades, with black cab drivers complaining that the ply for hire dodgy minicab company is damaging their business.

An Uber spokesman said; “We’ve had many reports in recent months from licensed drivers who use our app and have been on the receiving end of violent, threatening or intimidating behaviour from black cab drivers.”

“It’s completely unacceptable and we take it very seriously. The Uber partner-driver in this video has spoken to the police about this incident
and we will assist with the investigation.”

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “Officers attended and a 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault. A 49-year-old man received facial injuries.”

“Both men were treated at a central London hospital for their injuries which were not serious.”

“The 34-year-old was taken to a central London police station and subsequently released on police bail.”

“He has since answered bail and been NFA’d.” (no further action taken)

Steve Bottox McNamara, General Secretary of the Licensed Taxi Drivers Association, said: “We’re not sure at this stage that it is definitely a taxi driver involved and we don’t know what happened.”

“Obviously no one wants to see this sort of behaviour on our streets: regardless of who’s involved, it’s unacceptable and we don’t condone it in any way.”
